Assam Cabinet recommends not to allow Class 10 and 12 State Board Exams due to Covid situation

Guwahati, June 16 2021 :

Assam Cabinet today recommended not to allow Class 10 and 12 board exams due to the current Covid pandemic situation.

Disclosing that the State’s Cabinet recommended ” not to allow the exams due to prevailing Covid pandemic “, Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma added , “Final decision regarding HSLC (Class 10), High Madrassa and HS final year (Class 12) examinations will be taken on June 18 in a meeting between Education Department authorities and various other stakeholders.”

Today’s Cabinet meet also decided that no Covid patient would be permitted home isolation without separate facility at home for proper isolation.

Meanwhile, the weekly Cabinet meet also decided to establish four new forensic laboratories in the state, one each at Dibrugar’s Assam Medical College & Hospital, Silchar Medical College & Hospital, Tezpur Medical College & Hospital and Bongaigaon Civil Hospital.
